Brand, I love you.

If I asked you how many brands you are exposed to each day, would you be able to count?
If I were to reduce it to just this morning, would you be able to remember?
Lets try it out.
5.30 AM the alarm rings, you open your eyes so slightly just to turn it off - SAMSUNG.
You go back to bed for another 10 minutes then finally decide to drag yourself out of bed to go into the bathroom and grab your towel - TERRY PALMER.
You sit on the toilet for a bit - TOTO while pondering your to do list that day.
Then you grab your toothbrush ORAL B and toothpaste SENSODYNE to get rid of that stinky morning breath.
PANTENE and BIORE are waiting next along with ERHA facial wash as the fresh water finally awakes you.
You then walk to your wardrobe where you need to make that dreaded decision of ZARA vs MANGO vs LEVI's today?
After which you roll on the REXONA deodorant, spray some CHANEL no.5, swab some SK-II on your face and neck and lather your body with BODY SHOP.
You go down stairs looking for some breakfast : KELLOG's CORN FLAKES or BETTY CROCKER PANCAKES or some good old INDOMIE?
Which you then eat mindlessly while either reading KOMPAS newspaper or scrolling through your FACEBOOK, PATH and WHATSAPP pages, maybe GOOGLE the right route to work that day.
Finally you grab a pair of shoes - probably CHARLES & KEITH along with your bag while walking out the door towards your HONDA.
It's only 7AM. 24 brands. And that's only the ones you personally use. Don't get me started on the ones on TV, online and basically everywhere there is a bit of space and plenty of people.

If I haven't made it clear already, our lives are bombarded with brands.
Our lives are all about brands.
Our identity can somehow be summed up by the brands we have chosen and the ones that we love and we loath.

So how then does a brand stand a chance to exist in such a jumble of ideas?
How does one get noticed, create curiosity, ignite trial, become an addiction over and over again?

Try to think of those brands that you are somehow addicted to. That you just gotta have and will not take any replacement for. These are the brands who have made us fall in love.

This blog is dedicated to those brands who have won our hearts and the ones who have a  huge heart.
These are the ones who have entered our lives suddenly and changed the way we did something, the way we thought of something or the way we saw the world.
The ones that go beyond just the mundane functionalities of product and touched our heart with purpose, mission, and emotion.
The ones that moved our hearts to go beyond the normal and the regular to do something extraordinary.
